About Total Information Solutions

Total Information Solutions, Inc. began in 1991 as a retail systems division of a small management consulting company based in Dallas, Texas.  In 1995 the company became independent and operated as Point of Sale Information Solutions with continued focus on the retail market.  In 1999 the company incorporated as Total Information Solutions, Inc. and expanded into wholesale distribution as well as retail markets. 

Today Total Information Solutions has offices in 3 major metropolitan areas: Dallas, Houston and Denver and serves clients throughout the United States.  We continue to focus on providing comprehensive solutions to the information needs of retailers, wholesalers and e-commerce/mail order businesses.

Our staff

William (Bill) Lombardi is President of Total Information Solutions, Inc. He combines an education in marketing and management information systems with practical business experience. Since 1983, Bill has marketed, sold, implemented and supported high technology products. In 1991 Bill started a systems consulting business and almost immediately contacted Radiant Systems (formerly Synchronics) and has been a Business Partner ever since.

Bob Maxwell has an extensive background in management roles including positions as President and Controller of small to medium size businesses.  He has been involved with CounterPoint retail management software and various accounting software packages for over 20 years.  His knowledge of the information systems needs of retail and wholesale businesses is extensive and he has personally been responsible for supporting and servicing large numbers of end-users.

Jim Sheffield has been focused on the implementation of software solutions for small up to Fortune 500 businesses in the Retail and Wholesale markets since 1976. He has worked with CounterPoint since 1995 and has recently been involved in the interface of a business intelligence software package with CounterPoint.  In January, 2008 he joined Total Information Solutions to assist in Sales and Marketing areas.

Dana Ballantyne is a talented and experienced information technology consultant with expertise in various programming languages and software development. For over 25 years Dana has been involved in IT consulting in various industries. His work experience includes consulting positions with Andersen (Accenture), Ernst & Whinny (Ernst & Young) and his own consulting firm, Tricorp, Inc. He is knowledgeable in CounterPoint software having worked on the initial development and enhancement of the product. He has written many customizations for CounterPoint users including a 110 user installation in the green industry.

Tracy Penrod has been supporting and assisting our clients for over 10 years as a CounterPoint and Wide Area Network specialist.
